New Zealand Geography

New Zealand has magnificent beautiful natures. So they are on the United Nations World Heritage List. The size of New Zealand is about 268,680 k㎡. Japan is abut 380,000 k㎡. So Japan is larger than NZ. The New Zealand is made up of a two islands.
The north island has a capital city of this country. This island is the center of commerce. And it doesn’t have a precipitous mountain as the south island. But there is an active volcano. And this country extends between the Australian plate and the Pacific plate, so sometimes this area has earthquake. This point is similar to Japan. The other island has many precipitous mountains. They called it The Southern Alps. The highest mountain is Mt. Cook. It means “pass through the cloud” in Maori. The height is about 3,754m. In Japan the highest mountain is Mt. Fuji which height is about 3,776m. The height is as much as Mt. Cook. And this island has a lot of tourist spots. The most famous tourist city is Queenstown. There are wonderful hot spring spot. It is known all over the world as a health resort.

Hari Raya Puasa








This festival is a Malaya's New Year. But it means isn't actual New Year. Malaya is Islamic country. So they have Ramadan witch is hasting month. During the period they can't eat and drinking anything. So when this period ends, they celebrate that period end without any trouble. But they are Islamic, so they can't drink alcohol. This festival will be held about a month.



Hari mean’s "day". Raya means "excellent". Puasa means "fasting". So Hari Raya Puasa means "Excellent fasting days".





When this period end, people have to wearing the new clothies. And they go to mosque to worship. This picture is mosque.It means that with the start of the new year, people feel like a new person.



After that they hold party in their house. When this party they always eating "ketupat". It's like a Japanese rice cake. It is necessary for this festival. This period is every people keep late hours even a child. And they enjoy dancing and singing in till the midnight.

I’ve never heard "Hari Raya Puasa " until I searched world festival in this class. So I don't know well about this festival. But now I'm interested in this festival!!!!!!!!!!!!I would like to go this festival someday !!!!!!!!!!

My favorite movie is this: Bridget Jones's Diary




This summer , I saw the funny and lovely movie. It a little old movie, but I had never seen this movie. This story' s original is novel. It published by Helen Fielding in 1996. The genre is love comedy. This story is about love and diet.



Main character is Bridget(Renne Zelleger) who is thirty-something singleton .She lives in London who is littele fatty women. She has some bad habits -smoking and drinking alcohol to much. So she decided to write diary for quite both of them.





She working at the publishing industry. One day, she fallen love with her boss Daniel Cleaver(Hugh Grant) on a party to celebrate the publication. He is sexy and cool guy, but he is playboy. So he made an engagement with his another lover. So Bridget was very angry and wounded heart. So she quite her job and change of job. Her new job is TV reporter. She is very goof , so she always made mistakes on TV. But it made her very popularity. One day she was invited dinner by her friends. Then her feeling a bit down, but she was introduce Mark Darcy(Colin Firth) by her friend. He is a lawyer who is once-divorced.The first time she didn't feel friendry, but after a while they become close relationship.So she was very happy, but one day Bridget's ex-boyfriend: Daniel call out her house. Then Mark and Daniel start to fight over Bridget!!



I think Renée Zellwegers acting ability is wonderful!! I was amazed at that she devote herself body and soul to acting. And I like Hugh Grant !!He is so cool!! His character is careless,but not dislikeable. I like them :) This story is very funny and romantic. And they think serious about "love". It will be change about your sense of values. So you should watch this movie!! I recomend you !!

(1) -Diet-

There are many diets all over the world.

For example a fasting diet, hard training and aerobic exercise. But it is too difficult keep dieting .

Especially the most famous for diet country is America. Fatness became an issue of public concern. So many scientists specialize in diet. But American eating habits is terrible. They eat greacy food like Mc Donald's.

So I think American should improve their eating habits!!

(2)-Exercise-

I associate exericise with stretching.

The effect of stretching is that, it made our body flexible. So our body become strong. It made us prevent wounded . Second stretching is loose our weight and our pliant muscles build up!! So some supermodel do that every day!! When I was young I was a ballerina so my body is so flexible , but now I quited take a ballet lessons so my body is not flexible . but these days I putting on weight. So I must stretching everyday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
